Flights to Izmir: There are flights via Condor from Germany, Austria, Sweden, Holland, France or via Thomsonfly from UK or via Thomascook from Belgium, or via Sunexpress from Germany, Holland or via Pegasus from Italy, Germany. You can also come Izmir via Istanbul by Turkish Airlines or Pegasus or OnurAir or Atlasjet, and by Buses which costs cheap. easy to reach by air, bus, and train. (There are currently no ferryboats to Izmir). Turkish Airlines operates at least a dozen flights daily between Istanbul and Izmir's Adnan Menderes Airport, and at least four daily flights to Ankara. The cheaper alternatives, Atlasjet, IzAir, Pegasus Airlines, Onur Air and Sun Express, have flights as well. Izmir's Otogar (bus terminal) is huge and busy, with bus service to all parts of the country. Minibuses shuttle between Izmir and Selçuk (Ephesus) and Kusadasi about every 20 minutes throughout the day. Basmane Station is Izmir's main rail hub, with train service east to Ankara on the 9 Eylül Ekspresi and the Izmir Mavi Tren, and south to Adnan Menderes Airport, Selçuk (for Ephesus), and Denizli (for Pamukkale). The 6 Eylül Ekspresi and 17 Eylül Ekspresi trains run between Izmir and Bandirma, connecting with the fast ferry to Istanbul.
