About AEGEE-İzmir

AEGEE-İzmir was established in 1997 in Ege University.  Due to the first international event that by the  “Levantines or Europeans”  symposia, the first international event  that AEGEE-Izmir has  realized, in 6-8 March 1998, it has been officially acceped as an antenna in the Spring Agora in Poznan. Since the year it was  established, AEGEE İzmir has been actively working on national and international organisations. AEGEE-Izmir has more than 150 members from all universities in Izmir and around.

   As AEGEE-Izmir, our aim is to promote young people working together making a social, cultural and international colloboration by creating and realizing their ideas about remodelling Europe, providing an upper level democracy, peace, stability and human rights by promoting tolerancy and a common understanding among the European Youth.  Also, to introduce Izmir to the European students, to facilitate the outgoing of Turkish students  to Europe and to create a European awareness.

AEGEE-Izmir hosts 100 European students every year and enables 100 Turkish students to join the projects in Turkey and around Europe. It also helps the self improvement of the Turkish students with its different project and working groups and also to create a vision and mission throughout their studies.
